Another fashion question

I recently came into 2 different dresses that have this type of waist and I have no idea what its called.. i dont have the dresses yet
But here are some photos

Its like a v shape and on either side there is pleating?

I do not know the correct term

I'm not aware of a specific term for that v-shaped waist. I usually just say vee shaped. The term for the treatment on either side of the flat vee shaped panel is ruching, which is a gathered overlay of fabric.

that v front waistline is referred to as a basque waistline. and as Maggie says, that's ruching on the sides.
