Another Suit - 2 Piece Pierre Cardin Dbl Breasted

I am waffling between 1960s and 1970s here but the lapels are making me think 1970s. Haven't seen this PC label before but the jacket does have ACWA label used from 1962 - 1976. The numbering on the union label is black instead of red which I think means later in the time period. I am really hoping that this isnt a "licensed" suit but suppose might be no good way to decipher.

The suit feels like a fairly substantial brownish wool and the wool has the "older" look - if that makes sense. The purple pinstripe kind of threw me for a loop.

Any thoughts? Cardin labels and Dior labels - what a mess!

Thanks all - I appreciate! Maureen

Beautiful suit Maureen - where are the Dior labels? Actually, if there are any other labels and you have pics of them, it would help.

I'm inclined to think it's real and would date as late '60s. The label is not in the resource so you might like to add it once a date has been agreed.

Sorry nicole...I was making a comment about how dior and cardin labels can be hard bc of licensing. This is all pierre cardin. No other labels besides this one and also the refrenced union label.

I should have been more clear...sorry :)
