Another thrift store found dress - vintage?

I believe this to be vintage - potentially 1950s, although I'm once again self-doubting! It's got a lovely print with sequins threaded all over the place and it's a circle skirt. Unfortunately it seems to have been altered rather crudely at some point to make it larger (don't you hate it when that happens?).

That certainly looks 1950s to me, and is a wonderful find! That print is great.

That's a beaut! I agree with 50s. Did you check the selvedge inside the dress - sometimes you can find the name of the print or the artist.

I would have bought this too, even with the alteration.

What a FAB find! I love the label too, "Casa Taxco", that has to add interest to collectors. I really adore that dress.

Thanks ladies! I certainly feel lucky between the thrift bargains I find here and the estate sales (although the sales have been slow recently) .. the availability of interesting vintage here has taken my vintage hoarding to a new level!! Unfortunately I'm moving next year so I'm trying to take advantage of the stores here as much as possible!
