Antique French Fashion Doll Dress fabric help needed!

Hi! Not sure whether to put this here, but I have an antique fashion doll outfit that I am trying to identify the fabric. It has a look somewhat like linen but has a texture that almost feels almost like an oilcloth? It is not a heavy fabric. Any help would be appreciated! Vicki

Really tough to tell without handling it, but I suspect it's a blend like maybe a linsey-woolsey?

It has a feel like oilcloth, so maybe coated with boiled linseed oil?

Does it have slightly greasy feel to it? Does it have any trace of odor? Oilcloth seems quite inappropriate for a doll dress, as does the upholstery trim used for edging the dress, Possibly this was made up of old fabric and they added the upholstery trim to it. It does not appear antique to me. Looks very home made.

No smell and does not feel greasy. I’ve seen this type of trim on other antique doll dresses. Could possibly have been made of old fabrics as the interior lining fabric is old.
