Hi, I put this in the Q&A thread before, but hoping someone here can help me identify this unusual purse. Apologies for posting twice but I have better photos now.
I’ve spent literally days online searching images and cannot find anything similar. The closest ones seem to be Victorian or a little later, and some French designs look very similar but with only 1 or 2 tiles, not rows of them (they are called ‘medallions’ it seems). It’s in really good condition if it is that old. The medallions are very tiny (thumb-nail size). The whole bag is 6”x9.5”. I can’t even remember where I bought it but must have been a Fair probably 30 years ago. I thought it was lost but recently found it hidden away. I’d love to learn more about it if possible. Thanks for your time.
