any computer techies out there?

a question...hopefully someone can help me..

in the last few days....when typing every few words, the cursor moves and l end up typing in the middle of the previous sentence..
anyone ever found this?? really weird..
 
Is your mouse acting up? A friend's cursor was jumping all over the screen while he was trying to list to eBay. He attacked his laptop with a hammer (low impulse control, but I'm sure we can all relate....) and then realized the problem was a wornout mouse.
 
I've had that and the bouncing or freezing cursor.
1st step is I usually just hard boot it (shut it all down)
Usually works when I start it up again
 
ok l'll try not using the mouse, just the laptops thingy...
its only when writng or rather typing..
 
LOL, sara! I was using Gary's laptop yesterday and the SAME THING kept happening to me! I told Gary and it turns out that part of my hand was resting on the touch pad without me knowing, thereby making my cursor move around where I dind't want it to! Just keep your darn hands off the touch pad girl!:USETHUMBUP:
 
its better without the mouse..though a pain to manouvre...but it does still keep moving back from time to time!! sigh..hope l dont have to take it back..such a pain to remove everything and all my software...will see what happens, might buy a new mouse..

Sara, I have the same problem and I agree that it's getting too near the touch pad. Apparently you don't need to actually touch it, just getting close can activate the cursor and move it a little.

Whatever is causing your issue, I hope you solve it soon and don't have to replace the laptop - personally, I think it's unlikely to be a hardware issue.
 
l notice it happens alot when i hit either enter or the 'a' key...duh!?
