Any idea on age?

Hello everyone. I was hoping to draw on everyone's knowledge to try to determine an age for this dress. The metal zipper pull is stamped, "Daisy." There are no tags. Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hi Nemmac, and welcome to the forums. It would be helpful to see the whole dress but I tend to agree with Melanie on a late '60s date. It's quite fitted through the bodice, which is unusual for these kinds of dresses so it may have been altered to be more fitted at some point.

It looks late 1960's to me, too. I am assuming that it is a full length gown? It looks like a piece that might have been worn at a wedding either by an attendant or a guest.

Thank you all for your replies and the welcomes. That was about where I was leaning, but wasn't sure. Here is a picture of the full dress-- it is not a full length gown. But would probably go to about the knees.

I agree Linn: I think it was full length originally and has been shortened. This is a good length for the '80s so maybe that's when the alteration was done.

I suspect that is the original length, shortening chiffon is a major bitch - it has to be done by an experienced professional, othewise its nearly impossible to shorten something like this when its made from chiffon. It looks to me like a crossover from an early 60s cocktail dress to a mid 60s discotech gogo dress - probably c. 1966/67. I see it with matching yellow stiletto heeled shoes and big bouffant hairstyle with big drop earrings.
