Any ideas on the Date of this Vintage Shoulder Bag?

Hello,

I have been trying to cut down on buying so many vintage bags lately due to my terrible bank balance, but this one had a certain charm I couldn't resist. I was just wondering whether anyone could help me with a rough idea as to its date. I had a feeling it was perhaps fairly old, like 30s, but then I could equally imagine it being as late as 70s. I am confused. There is no maker's mark anywhere.

As you can see from the photo against a figure it is fairly large. The main body measuring approx: 10 x 12" at widest points

What kind of zipper is inside--plastic or metal?

The combination of top handle plus shoulder strap with that kind of hardware reminds me of a bag I had in the late 1980s...

It reminds me a lot of a Liz Claiborne bag my sister gave me as a present back in the late 1980s. Not much help, but I thought I'd chime in.

It does not look 30s to me at all. I am getting a late 70s feel for it. It's a nice bag and looks like it will be easy to use as you can actually get some "stuff" into this one!

Another vote for late '80s: it's a lovely shape, and the quality looks good too.
