It's been awhile since I've posted any questions, but I'm gearing up for some listings and will be starting a few threads. Thanks in advance for your time and expertise.
First up, I have this crewel work poncho, and am wondering about both date, and country of origin.
I know these kind of things are difficult to date but I'd be glad of your opinions - I'm not even sure if it's vintage. No labels at all. The buttons don't look very old to me, but there are signs they're replacements - the thread doesn't match. The green outer fabric is definitely wool. I haven't tested the lining but to my eye it seems like rayon or viscose.
