Any Ideas on this Shirt?

This may well be brand new - I’m lost. My first impression was that it was a woman’s custom made shirt/top. But the buttons are on the right side of the shirt when worn.

The fabric is perhaps a heavy silk and it reminds me of a Guatemalan print. There are deep hidden side pockets and overall the piece is beautifully made. The only tag is the small size label. And there are minor shoulder pads sewn into the silk lining. Any ideas?

Looks like a Guatemalan woven shirt from Guatemala...popular in the states from the late 80s to now.

I went to Guatemala in the early 90s and they would weave shirts like these on the street.

its an ikat weave, also indigenous to Indonesia, as well as Guatemala, Japan, and many many other countries.

it could just as easily be from Indonesia as Guatamela ~ and it does look quite contemporary, imo. i LIKE it!!!!!!
