Any info on Levi 501 jeans with coloured fly buttons and US flag pocket liners?

Hi there

Can anyone help me get an idea of age or if my “vintage” jeans are a special edition of some kind?
They are lighter weight denim, dark blue Levi red tab 501s with blue stitching. The inner pocket bags are red & white stripe on right, and blue & white stars on left. The fly buttons are all blue red or white. They were made in Turkey and have price label in US $. The Large Levi label on the waistband is real leather. All tags are complete and look quite fresh.

Hi there, cool jeans! I found a listing online (not mine) that indicates they are special addition- HERE
You can check a few things to determine if they are vintage:
  • Check if the word LEVI’S® is in all capital letters, or whether it has a small letter “e” instead. The Tab with LEVI’S (also known as “Big E”) means the jeans are from before 1971.
  • Look for care tabs, which were introduced to Levi’s garments in the 1970s.
  • Examine the inseams to check for a single stich running down the inner thigh. This is an indication that the jeans were made before the mid-1980s.

Thank you so much for the info and link. I don’t know how you found that but it’s great.
Mine are definitely not very vintage, eg they have small ‘e’ Levi tab. Silky care labels and the multi-stitched inseams. They do however still have all original sales labels and have never been worn. (Original price $78. Which to me suggests ‘80s or ‘90s at earliest) Now I have to decide if I’m going to wash and wear them!
Many thanks

Hi again
I just found some good info here on the forum- there is a CW no. on a care label that apparently means “Cut Week” the digits are 0613 which apparently means week 3 of 2013, so my jeans are 12 years old, brand new old stock. Every day’s a school day!
( I need to thank Ceiran Allan Wright for that info.)
