any info on Wallachs jacket -- 40s 50s?

This jacket has me a bit stumped on age. Is it 30s / 40s / 50s ? It is a bit ruined because someone washed it and the lining has been taken out of the sleeves, but I still love it and would love to know more.

I have never heard or seen this brand or store Wallach's selling women's outerwear but it certainly strikes me as a ladie's jacket. Any significance of the "Styled by Andreas for Hart Schaffner by Marx"?

Anyone know anything about it? Very curious. Thanks!

It looks like a 1960's little topper coat to me, to be worn over a fitted sheath dress.
It would be worth seeing if you could improve the appearance, maybe by steaming and pulling it out gently?
