I have absolutely no information about this piece other than it appears to be fur, it has a Bonwit Teller tag, and I got it in New York. Any information would be great!!

The coat does appear to be fur, but I'm no fur expert.
The label looks like one in our label resource images from the 1940s—check Bonwit Teller in the resource and you will see one similar.

It reminds me a bit of sheared beaver fur, but it is not as dense as beaver....I cannot tell for sure.
