Any Michael Novarese Expertise?

Found this lovely Michael Novarese cocktail dress. Looks very much like an early 60s wiggle (yes, I measured the hemline!), but there's not a whole online about him. Understand he designed from 1960 to 1990 & passed away in 2010. Most of his pieces I found online were 80s (his label didn't change much; if any, over the yrs).

If this fellow designed for Peggy Lee, Jane Russell, Judy Garland, Dinah Shore & Dolores Hope, why are his earlier dresses so hard to find?

This is my first post here so I hope I don't screw up photos - it's a silk satin "Ikat" rose print with a subtle, rich gold floral brocade shimmering in & out of it... yummy stuff - metal zip up the back & inside is gorgeous!

Thanks for the images too, Nicole - strange - when I did a browser search I was only coming up with links to mostly 80s things & wondered where his earlier stuff was.

I think I recognize that black & white dotted full skirted dress as Joan's.
 
I should add that not all of those "60s" styles are from the '60s! I found two on ebay, and they were both '80s.

The '60s is much longer ago than the '80s though, so it's no surprise that it will be easier to find his more modern work.
