any suggestion for a good book on vintage fabric

hi.. i am looking for a good referance book for collectable fabric and the designers to look out for...etc...

especially the ones in the 50's and 60's...

can anyone suggest any good books..

would really appreciate it ...as i get soooo much material in at work, i would love to find out more info... about the prints and desingers etc..

I have a number of books that either are about, or at least cover, vintage fabrics, but not any that talk about print designers or fabric in terms of collecting. I hope someone else can help, as I'd like to know too!

BTW, I was making a bag yesterday and I found that the selvedge was printed with "'Pacificana' Shaheen's Surf 'n Sand Handprint-Hawaii" I stitched the printed selvedge into the bag like a patch...couldn't bear to let that go unknown!

thats a very good idea....so the pattern and print etc... will not be lost so to speak..

i have seen certain ebayers who know their stuff when it come the prints and the actual date of the print run..etc...

and some of the fabrics gets lots of bids on them
