Any thoughts on Jackie Dress

I believe it's 50's. When I put in a search for Jackie's all that comes up is Jackie O. Hard to find more info on this lovely gem of a dress.

Dee Dee, most of the ads I found for Jackie Originals--and, actually, almost every single ad--was from the period between the early 1950's to the early 1960's. The first several ads I found for those dresses were from Texas newspapers, or papers from states nearby. When I saw the blurb I posted before and it said Jackie Willis was from Houston, I was pretty sure they were the same business. Jackie Willis was lauded in other papers for being a successful black female business owner...from Texas.

Most other VFG members are far better at narrowing the date of vintage clothing than I am (I collect primarily older/antique items), but I will take a stab at it anyway and say my first reaction was that it is early 1960's, only because it reminded me of dresses I wore at that time. I hope our resident experts will help with the dating and correct me if it is believed to be from the 1950's.

I agree with early '60's for the reasons Marion stated plus the length is very short for '50's - even late '50's. (Unless it was shortened a lot.)
