Anybody have THE dress I'm looking for?

Anybody have THE dress I\'m looking for?

Okay, I know it's only the end of January, but I've been invited to a wedding :drinkingtoast: as well as my 30th HS reunion :o this coming July.

What I want to find is a high neck halter dress in a fun but elegant print. I don't mind showing my back and shoulders, but my decollete, not so much (too many summers slathered in baby oil and a tini kini back in the day). It will be warm at the two parties so summer weight fabric is good. The wedding is in the afternoon and the reception is in the evening - so a dress that would transition well would be great. Cocktail length is preferred. I'm open to most colors except orange and blue - my favorite is emerald or kelly green.

Now, the details - Bust 40, Waist 31, Hips 40~

I can see in my mind's eye what I want, but I'm still trying to find an image of the dress - if I do I'll post.

Thanks for any lovelies you can steer me toward~

I have this dress and it will accomodate your measurements easily but it may be too casual and the wrong era. It does have a high neck halter and it is pretty summery.

I have a black crepe 80s dress at the shop, a gown actually, with the type of neckline you may like....covered to throat, rhinestones on a collar around neck....has matching jacket, very elegant (not 80s promish at all, looks very 60s). I can shoot it tomorrow.

Thanks guys-

I should have mentioned these are probably more casual events than you might think. Small intimate family wedding and a bunch of 48 year olds who didn't think "old" would happen to them :hysterical:
I'm still not 100% certain that I will attend the reunion - that's a tale for another day~

Teresa, that dress is darling, and very close to the style - it would definitely work, but I think I'd like a more subtle print or solid.

Ang, that dress with a collar sounds like "it" - the collar was what I was really thinking of ( I'd like to conceal my less that taut throat ~). It also sounds more "after 5" - around here it's very easy to out dress the bride and I don't want to risk it.

Anne, thanks for taking a look~

I didn't mention era because I love looks from all of them -
