Here is the label...reads, "D.C.S.8. Pat App. For U.S. Pat. Off.,
Original Design":

Here is the dress - early 40's embroidered net, ruched bust, early metal zip, etc.:

I thought I had some info on this, however if I did, it
doesn't want to be found.

That is lovely. No help on label either. I can see a hippie boho look with this, too, maybe worn with a jean jacket. I know the idea sort of ruins the dress but I just finished reading some of the newest magazines and jean jackets worn with dresses like this are Hot!
