I have a feeling it's not too old, although I'm a novice in vintage clothing, so I need your help!?

Thanks :)

Like you I am learning and trying to get better. Looking at labels that are similar to the font style my guess would be in the 60's, but I am wrong more than I am right. So let's wait and see what the experts say and keep on learning. :)

It looks like a lovely dress, it has the appearance of being from the 60s. The main difference is the labels we have do all include Paris under the name.
Is the front of the dress where the label is? I have seen labels placed on the front of a garment from time to time, but it is rare.

Do you know if the slip is original to it? How does it actually do up?

The slip looks 1990s to me. That tank style wasn't real big in the 60s. I see 1990s more than 60s, but it's hard to tell. And that's just a guess.

Unfortunately I don't have the dress with me yet, it's in the post. The label looks recent from the distance, which made me think it wasn't too old...
Thank you all for your help! I'll keep you posted once I get it :)

Thanks again !

Taskmaster, if you were thinking '60s, you would be in good company. Fashion styles go around and around, and there was a lot of '60s influenced fashions in the '90s.

The style is just one piece of the puzzle though and construction, fabric, labels and detailing all need to be taken into account. It's a fun game. After you've had a lot of exposure to vintage, you start to get a kind of sixth sense too - in that you get a "feeling" about the age. It's your brain piecing all the clues together.
