Anything sound better than \"chemical lace\"?

This is a wool doubleknit dress with little, um, daisy thingies trimming it:

I'm thinking the trim is chemical lace -- but that is such an unappealing term. Here they are up close:

I guess I could just say, "... trimmed with pastel cut-out lace daisies ..."

Any suggestions for anything more specific?

Oh, daisy chain is good! I'm not quite so inclined toward using "applique" because they're not really secured around the edges to the ground (especially the ones on the belt) as applique is. To my mind they're applied but not, strictly speaking, applique.

Chemical lace is also called aetz lace. But no one knows that, really, and few would search it.
Call it "colorful floral crochet trim appliques".
