Are moth repellents safe?

Hello everyone,
Just in August I decided to open an online vintage clothing shop, and thought I had everything I needed- a big closet, breathable garment bags, a dry environment. I've been living Madrid, Spain (originally from the US) for 4 years, and had never once in my life encountered moths. One of the dresses I acquired here was a lovely 40s dress in near perfect shape, but little did I know that what I'd thought was a circular "repair" was actually a moth nest...

So early October I noticed small signs of damage in 75% of my dresses. I ended up throwing away the 40s dress with the nest (had a few holes by then), and took all the rest for professional dry cleaning. I ditched the garment bags, and instead decided to store everything in cotton bags inside closed plastic containers. I bought this moth repellent: http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/webapp/...oceries/raid-moth-killing-paper--floral-scent
And placed one sheet in each of the plastic containers.

I have about 15 plastic containers, and live in a studio apartment. I'd like to assume that since each container is latched closed, there's no risk of inhaling this chemical while I'm home. My bed is literally 2 meters away from where I store all this. Is this arrangement hazardous for my health? Do you have any other recommendations? I'm so paranoid about getting another moth infestation...

And...would it be safe to have a pet?
