Are These Florsheim Imperial Shoes Vintage?

I have a pair of Men's Florsheim Imperial wingtip shoes that I'm trying to determine if they are vintage. It looks like they have been made for years so was wondering if there was any way to tell. Thanks!

Florsheim were notorious for making conservative, traditional style shoes. I bought a pair that looked very much like this in 1988. I suspect that is when these are from because of the inset silk label in the leather lining.

I've noticed that on the 'bay, vintage Florsheim sellers seem to push "V Cleat" and "5 Nail". What's so special about those and when were those made?
