Hello again

these look 70's to me but the type of lettering on the label seems rather modern, so again I have doubts....

the leather is very thick and they look perfect,
too bad they are a UK size 8 which is huge for me...
sometimes I wish I had a foot stretcher/ shrinker device!

Hopefully Jonathan, VFG's resident shoe expert will be along with a definitive opinion.

My inclination is modern. The 70s platforms I wore then and have seen since were either actual stacked leather or solid wood or covered with leather to coordinate with the uppers. I.e., not faux stacked.

Stead & Simpson are still going. The inner stick on label makes me think modern.

My friend had a pair of wedges with that label that she had with her at university in about 1997, so I would say Melody is spot on!

Yup, modern, but really good 70s revival -- you could use them in a film of the 70s and I don't think anyone would catch them as not being authentic. Other than the label, the platform shape isn't quite right - a 70s platform would be slightly more tapered towards the bottom, not flared.
