are these shoes "ghillies"

are these shoes \"ghillies\"

or is that a regional / dated thing :)? ok.. so in the 60s in MI we called lace up dress shoes ghillies / gillies. bet its not a KW tho is it?

date help please? 70s? 80s?
they have a 3" heel.

I had something very similar in the early 90's. It went nicely with my goth cape, he he! Of course they weren't Bruno Magli. Remember what Johnny Cochrane said... 'If the shoe doesn't fit, you must sell it!'
 
never mind key words they are magli's!!! l had a purple pair of these in 1988, identical though not Bruno's....we didnt call them gillie's here in uk..l was expecting to see a rubber pair of fishing boots!!! LOL
 
thanks everyone! love the cochran~ lol.. can i use that? i was afraid ghillie was a regional term, and there was no such thing, or that there was another name for them.

and i didnt realize how bad the coca cola stain on my real- italian-carrara-marble with beveled OG edges -restored antique table was. it sure shows!
