Are these two dresses 50s or 60's

Recently came across a few vintage dresses I'm trying to get the era right on them and material any help would be appreciated the red one has a metal talon side zip snap buttons the material is definitely not polyester or wool, thick like and slick feeling, no tags found in it, the blue floral one is Claire Tiffany Traveler semi sheer material feels like nylon but not sure that's the right material so I was thinking 60's but not sure has a 50s vibe to me thanks in advance

The best way to start is to determine what the fabric is, and you can do a burn test to help figure that out. Try taking a small sample of the fabric at the selvage edge and do a burn test to determine what it is. If it melts you'll know its poly.

I am seeing late 50s, maybe to 1961, on both.
