ARRGGHHH had a Vintage buying dream

and only just now realized it was a dream..

Ok I know that sounds nuts, but in my defense I do have three kids and its been hectic lately

I dreamed I found these gorgeous long drapey glass bead necklaces in several different shades at my favorite antique shop

I was just doing some pics and thought to myself ..hmmm that creamy one would look great with this dress.. and started looking for the bag of necklaces in my office :insane:

why do I admit these things...

fess up now...queue here please...............................!!:dreaming:

I had one on Sunday night. It involved looking through boxes in a basement and finding tons of NOS 50's bras and undies in the wildest designs! Then I paid the woman $60 when she only asked $40 because of the great deal she gave me!!

well did it fit...in the dream...or was it not THAT kinda dream LOL!!?

My dream was simple and heavenly - a rummage sale where every piece was great vintage ... and nobody else was there. When I woke up I kept trying to get back to sleep. I do remember the sale was in a church in Newbury Vermont.

Last one I had, about a month or so ago, was me and Mom and Alex were out GSale-ing, and an old fellow had a garage with a maze of open side wood shelves stacked to the gills with glass stuff (Avon, Fenton, milkglass and the like). I ventured through while Mom and the kiddo (bull in the china shop) stayed outside. At the center I found a fat shelf of Enid Collins purses, and emerged from the garage with Enids all the way up both arms from wrist to pit! Took them all home for $100.
Then I woke up.:paranoid:

OMG Beth, it must be the power of suggestion because I had one last night. Unfortunately mine was a nightmare. I arrived at an auction after it started so wasn't able to preview. The auctioneer was selling clothing by the rack and on every rack I'd spot several wonderful things but just as I'd raise my hand to bid he'd sell them to someone else for $5.00 or $10.00. It was just torture!

We are a sad lot - aren't we? I have regular op-shop extravaganza dreams - usually I am the only person in the store, and there's an amazing array of great vintage stuff hidden on a top shelf! Sure beats nightmares, although i tend to feel a disappointed (but inspired to shop) when i wake up!!
