ok. from the same estate (and owner) as the 30's turns out to be 70's blouse is this flapper style dress. again, in excellent condition bar a small flaw shown near the neckline in the close up of the embroidery. as i feel like i have temporarily lost my 'radar' and this is earlier than i would usually deal regularly in i'd appreciate any help on date and description! the best i can come up with is a tentative mid 20's but i am always prepared to stand corrected!
there is a rather william morris looking pattern woven into the fabric - like a jacquard but flat? - and there are two pleats at the side up to mid thigh, not splits. french seams and half handfinished. no labels of course...and apologies for preliminary pics!

thank you!! (oh yes, and plenty more to come... :BAGUSE: )

thanks hollis, that's excellent. i had guessed '24 so am starting to feel better!:bouncy:
i desperately need to restore ethel (the mannequin) but just haven't had the chance - which is a shame as i'd like to use her more often.. i have a ton of hats she'll be perfect for modelling so i must see to her broken nose at least (instead of airbrushing it in like i did here! :BAGUSE: )

The embroidery is based on the "Glasgow Rose Design" by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, so you are right with 'Arts & Crafts' although he was more Seccessionist orientated.

Definitely mention him and the Glasgow Rose in your listings as there are (avid) collectors out there, myself included. (PLEASE let me know when it is listed!)

thanks margaret, thats a very good point - i had a stylised version of the glasgow rose on my wedding stationary, and hadn't thought to include it as such!
it's so hard, this vintage clothing lark! i've found so much great stuff lately that my 'keep' pile is getting far too big, and i am going to have to start being very strict.. will list this over the next few weeks, and will be sure to post in sneak previews when i do (which i always mean to do anyway!)
