Ashley Hall Vintage Show

Anyone else get this notice? Thought I'd share:

Hi There,
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of a new and exciting Vintage Textile and Fashion fair to be held at the University of Lincoln. The date of the first fair will be Saturday the 26th of May 2007. There will be many respected exhibitors from the all around the U.K. and France with a wonderful array of goods, and a good mix of Opulent Vintage Textiles, French Linen, Ethnic Fabrics and Clothing, Lace, Trimmings, Wonderful period costume, Vintage clothing from many periods, and all of the other vintage items to make up a good old style fair, visually rich and stimulating. We have a date line from early 1900’s to 1970’s. We will be holding the Lincoln fair 6 times a year to coincide with the big international fairs of Newark and Swinderby. There will also be an extra fair at Christmas to coincide with the Lincoln Christmas fair when we will be inviting people who make items out of vintage textiles and crafts to exhibit as well.

I am pricing as we speak...
:D

It would be so nice to see friendly people coming as it's the first one and they are holding it in the Engine Shed which is a very cool new conversion of the old, well, engine sheds ( :BAGUSE: ) as it's next to the railway line and much of the university is built on the old railway land. ( check it out: it lights up weird colours which for the countrified folk of lincolnshire - i.e. me - has been very exciting.. http://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/lincoln/brayford/index.htm ) Plus it's about 5 minutes walk from me so if I don't have what you're looking for at the fair I can send someone home to fetch it while you wait, lol!

Also as mentioned it is in conjuction with the massive internatinal antiques fairs which are about 6 and 10 miles away on the outskirts so plenty of vintage shopping opportunities. Let me and Lei know if you're coming so we know who to look out for!
