Hello everyone!
I've been way off on a couple things lately when trying to determine age and I'm questioning myself on this one. It has definite vintage styling but I don't know...
It does seem to be silk but I have not done a burn test. The buttonholes are bound, the covered buttons have nothing showing on the backside to help determine age since the fabric is gathered right up around the (old-looking) metal loop shank. The front closure is the three buttons on the bodice and a metal hook and eye at the waist. Unfortunately, the belt is missing. Oh, and it has a slight train. The back is about three inches longer than the front.
Sorry no mannequin today, I'm still recovering from a flooded basement after torrential rains and flooded streets in my area a few weeks ago. I'm reorganizing and she's buried somewhere down there.
