Asian Inspired Dress - Dating and Belt Help

I picked up this cute asian look dress but noticed that it once had a belt. Any thoughts on what that belt would have looked like? I guess I just cant picture an actual belt on this...maybe a matching ribbon type wrap (is that called an obi?). I am coming up blank with what might look right - something that would fit in the attached belt loop comfortable anyway.

Dress has no labels at all and a back metal zipper - possibly homemade or custom made?

The discoloration on lining is from flash...

Finally - I am thinking 60s on this...am I even close?

As always - thank you so much. Any thoughts at all on dress are appreciated.

I am seeing late '50's and not Asian. The material looks like it might be silk and it might be from Hong Kong but the style looks Western to me. The belt would have been made of matching fabric and might have had an interesting jeweled buckle (or so I'd like to think.) It could also have been a plain covered belt. It's rare to find a vintage dress that still has the belt!

Pretty!

Soooo, who has a matching belt lying around? :) Think I am going to have to create something as I think chances are slim to none of finding a match - although I will keep my eyes open. Just think it needs something to pop for pics. Will have to ponder.

Thanks all!

It's great as it is: doesn't need a belt. Agree with everyone on date etc. The fabric's gorgeous; those people who say "Blue and green should never been seen" have no idea what they're talking about!
