Assistance dating Christian Dior dress

I recently acquired a gorgeous, vivid orange dress by Christian Dior but, as my knowledge of vintage Dior is nil, I am stumped as to its date of creation, designer, etc. If anyone could assist with any information about this piece, I would be forever indebted.

It seems to be made of silk chiffon (the overlay), with a knit fabric underneath, both pleated; has 'Grecian'-style elements, and is accompanied by what appears to be a thin chiffon belt? (please see one of the photos where I have used it as a belt).

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Duchampsmuse and welcome to the forums. Have a look down the side seams: there should be more labels with fabric content and care information. The overlay reads more like a synthetic to me, and pleated fabrics generally have a synthetic component as natural fibres don't have a "memory" and the pleats fall out.

Is the lining a cotton knit?

Hi, Nicole - thanks so much for responding so quickly! I did check for a label with fabric content/care, and the dress is made from 100% polyester - you were correct! So, this applies to both the chiffon-like overlay and the under layers (there are two, actually - one functions as a 'slip' or lining, while the one on top is the pleated layer, which is part of the dress).

Hope this additional information might help date/identify the piece.

Thank you: finally we're getting somewhere. That's a modern label, so your dress is no earlier than the '90s. The detailed information in other languages suggest it's more recent, I'd say 2000s. So not really vintage. I hope that helps.
