These little guys once belonged to my Grandma, and they were used as doorstops for 2 french doors. They weigh more than 6 lbs each, and are 8.5 in.s wide, and 5.5 in.s high.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Lizzie would be the Scottish Terrier expert!! I bet she will love them.

Those are adorable. They look like they are leaning into the doorway and "listening" :) Do they have any marks? Vintage cast iron can do very well and their expressions are precious.

I would suggest if on ebay, place in the antiques->cast iron and collectibles->dogs-> scottish terrier categories, but Lizzie will be able to tell you more. Shipping can be pricey on these. I would definitely offer parcel post as an option. It would make a huge difference to bidders in most cases.

Those are darling and the scottie people will want them so bad. Yes, offer parcel post or ups.

Yoohoo, Lizzie, you need these!!

Thanks all, for your posts.
I will list them today, and see how it goes. Anyone have a suggestion for a starting bid amount?
Please!!!!
Thanks in advance,

Lizzie knows scottie collectibles. she would probably know best on this one as far as price. she should be around today at some point.

Because some folks might be prohibited by the shipping (which you can't help. And Linda i forgot sometimes UPS can be cheaper), I wouldn't do the "start at $9.99 thing" and hope for a bid war among 7 people, though of course it only takes two to tango. I would start them at a price with a BIN or such that you would be comfortable with if they went for it. These are way unique compared to cast iron that i have sold so it might not matter as much. But still, i would wait for Lizzie.

I would, since dog collectors can be quite serious folks, give them a few days to pay (and state you will) in case someone snipes through aucitonsniper or other such surface. these aren't the typical cast iron scotties people are used to seeing, or at least come to mind for me.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I hope they get a good home, as well as a good price. They belonged to my Grandma, but unfortunately, I haven't any use for them. They have been taking up space since 1979. It's time for them to get out on their own, and see the world.
Again, you have all been very helpfull.
Thank-you! Thank-you!

Well, Paula, you have a bid, but I feel certain that I'll be outbid on these. They are wonderful, and I can't believe you have a pair!
