Prices went way above the estimates at the auction house of Gros & Delettrez when they sold 300 items belonging to Danielle Luquet de Saint Germain who was a former model and "muse" of Saint Laurent. This is a 1979 "Picasso Cocktail Dress" by Saint Laurent - sale estimate - 10,000 - 12,000 euros - result - 55,000 euros (about $75,00?)

And here is another Saint Laurent creation (1989) extimated at 5 - 6,000 euros which sold for 25,000 euros.

I'm sure the provenance added to the desirability, but...I'm so glad to see YSLs fetching healthy sums!

And I agree--that red dress is beyond stunning...
