Audrey Hepburn\'s frocks at auction tomorrow

Anybody with a few thousand quid to spare?

You might want to attend the Kerry Taylor auction in London tomorrow, which has a collection of Audrey Hepburn's clothes - included some fine Givenchy numbers - up for sale:

Scroll down to the bottom to see all the lots (The Hepburn collection is the last three pages)

*Sigh*

I'm hoping to pop in and watch....with no nose scratching!!

Ooh, lucky you Sara!

I would have loved to have visited on the viewing days just for a nosey, but I only found out about it today.

Does anybody else read the brilliant 'Dress a Day' blog, because that's where I read about it? I should have credited Erin in my original post.

Feel free to bid on my lots that I have there too ;)

Mine are the Victorian riding habits, the corsets and the riding boots (68, 69, 70, 72).

It would be lethal for me to go to that sale so that's why I stay comfortably 100 miles away in Leicestershire :D

Going right back to check your lots now, Leila!

I skipped right past all the lots (including Marie Helvin's cast-offs!) to view the Hepburn collection.

And the very best of luck for tomorrow! (there's not a 'finger's crossed' smilie, so that one will have to do).

How exciting for you, Leila!

I blogged about this a few days ago (you can read it here!), and yet, I still managed to kill a good half hour looking through the lots AGAIN this morning, after I saw this thread.

Sara, if you make it there, you'll have to give us a report on how it went!

Yes, Mary Jane - £60,000 for the Chantilly lace number from 'How to Steal a Million'!!!

The museum I volunteer at has snagged two of Audrey's Givenchy frocks (not the highest price ones, of course, but very lovely all the same).

So I might get to see them in real life soon! :excited:

Cheers MJ!

I'm hoping Leila did well with her fabulous items too. Apparently it was a packed house - a real media event!
