Authentic Chanel - or not?

I bought this dress at a thrift store and am wondering if it is authentic Chanel or not? From my research online, it is authentic, but an acquaintance says it is not. She says Chanel never made polyester dresses, but I read online that they did, in the early 1980's. The dress appears to be made very well with well-finished seams and hems. Here are a few photos:
Thank you!

Thank you! I have contacted Chanel directly, but was told they don't do that --authenticate garments. I don't know else who to contact to verify the authenticity of this dress. Do you have a recommendation other than Chanel?

Also, I looked at the Chanel labels shown at 'Label Resource' here at VFG, and this dress's label looks very much like the image 4th from the bottom, except for the contrasting black stitching at either end. Are the labels shown at the Label Resource ALL of the labels ever used by Chanel, or are there others?

We do not authenticate and I am not a Chanel expert---BUT, if you look at the "C" on your label and compare it to the "C' on an authentic Chanel label from the same date---
You will notice that the "C" in authentic Chanel labels is very round.
Also compare the "A" on your label to the "A"s on authentic Chanel labels you should get your answer:USETHUMBUP:

Check out the interlocking C's too--especially the space where they overlap.

You may already have your answer however you can also google Chanel authentication services for a list of those who offer Chanel authentication services.
