Authentic Chanel scarf?

Hello,

I got this scarf from an estate sale and was wondering if someone could help me determine if it is an authentic Chanel scarf. There are no labels and I'm not sure about when it was made. I'm guessing 1980's?

Any insight would be much appreciated :)

Thanks so much for replying! I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you mean how vivid is the appearance of the print on the back, it looks as sharp as it does on the front. It's just a bit "lighter" than the front, but not by that much. If only based on color crispness, you'd have to flip in over a few times to ascertain which side is which. In terms of texture it feels the same on both sides. I believe it's made of a wool batiste, but that's just my assumption after reading the fabric resource section.

It looks like wool or acrylic. Have done a burn test? Cut a small thread from the fringe and hold with tweezers. Wool will burn and smell like hair.

All of the Chanel scarves I've seen are silk. I'm bothered by the print. It looks at first glance like a twill weave based on the print, but it's a plain weave fabric. Also, I've never seen a fringed scarf, but scarves are not specialty.
