Authentic Dior Hat

Very Confused...I bought a Dior hat(?) from an estate sale I know it is an older hat just by the way it is built and has a union tag but the Dior label was glued in...is that even normal or was this hat messed with a bit? It is also stamped Christian Dior in the center.
 
Dior hats deteriorated in quality and design throughout the 60s but I don't think I have ever had one with a glued in label... it might be, I don't kow, but I haven't had one.
