Authentic Imports

Hi! Bought this jacket at the Goodwill and would love to learn more but I am coming up empty on my google search when I look up the brand. Does anyone know anything about Authentic Imports? Anyway, to tell how old the jacket is? Any information would be helpful. All I have found is people reselling it which I am not interested in doing.

I don't know anything about Authentic Imports but this looks late 80s/early 90s to me.

It's a great piece!

A 1993 wedding announcement I found noted the bride's father "retired as the executive vice and a a partner of the Authentic Imports Corporation, a sportswear importing company in New York." I will do a quick search shortly for more information.

The earliest ad I found so far for Authentic Imports Inc was from 1967 and here is a tiny piece of a 1969 ad, where you can see the sailing ship that appears on your label...

I felt there was a lot in that post. A former buyer or rep confirmed the years of that label.
