Authentic Vintage Ralph Lauren Blazer?

reUSED

Hello all, I am new on this forum, however I do lurk here from time to time.

I'm looking to acquire a vintage ralph lauren blazer, and I stumbled upon this one. I just wanted to ask experts to see if anyone could tell me if the blazer is indeed true vintage RL. I have included a picture.

Thanks so much for your help.

I can see why Marty thinks it may be a men's, but I do know they made these type of jackets for women as I have a single-breasted one. If this is a woman's, I would guess 80s being double-breasted, broad shoulders etc. To narrow it down, however, I would check the jacket's label against the ones in our resource (click labels near top of screen) - if the seller does not show a label, I would write and ask to see a picture of one.

hello, and welcome!

not sure if you want to know if it's authentic ralph lauren, or if it's vintage. or both :)

i agree with deborah that it's likely 80s, and that getting a shot of the label if the seller hasn't provided one, and comparing to those on the label resource is a good idea. i've had several of these crested rl jackets, all either 80s or early 90s. probably this has the polo pony and rider label. they weren't faked, so it is rl.

I have sold this same jacket a few times also. Mine were always women's and in navy blue wool. Sort of reminds me of the jackets Michael Jackson wore (with the big crest).

Thank you guys so much for the help, you guys are awsome. I emailed her and I am waiting for her response. When that happens I will cross check it with the labels guide as well as post it here. Thank you guys again!
