authenticating this Oscar DLR dress?

Hey all! I recently found this super cute dress at a thrift store & swooped it up based on looks alone. When I looked inside I was surprised to find an Oscar de la Renta label... a little skeptical, too. I'm wondering if you guys might be able to help me out with it? It seems very strange that the label is sewn in with two different colors of thread- white and a more beige color- and that it's not even fully sewn in, but seems to be coming loose. There are no other tags whatsoever in the dress. It does seem very well made- a nice lining, and none of the seams are actually visible. I've included photos and am hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. The label matches that from a 90s dress found in the label directory.

By the way, it's been a long while since I've been here and the new forum design/layout is FABULOUS. A fantastic update!

Although I cant say for sure, I think it is probably genuine. I dont know why, but I have had ODLR of this time period with the same sloppy sewn in tags. Other people have posted about this as well.

Early 80s is my guess with those puffy sleeves.

Thank you Brenda! I did do a search for 'oscar de la renta' in the forums but couldn't find anything re: labels. I'll change my wording and try again!

Cute dress, and the fabric looks very high quality. Is the lining silk? I'm guessing that this is genuine, as Brenda says, and maybe the labels come loose in dry cleaning and people just aren't very neat in re-stitching them in? I would think if someone were going to fake an ODLR it would be on a fabulous evening gown or dressy skirt suit or something....
