Not really sure if 50's or 60's Fabric is kind of coarse and grainy. Anyone? Also, Avalon is not in the label resource. where do i go to submit this tag?

Ooops! Thought I'd got the right link for the label resourse but I think it's changed due to the new website format. I'll try and get back to you with that shortly unless someone else can point you there.

In the meantime, it can be difficult determining fabric types without seeing them in the 'flesh' but this looks like a chiffon polyester. Perhaps with an acetate lining? I've not come across the label but I'm in England. Presuming this is US made. :)

I'd say your dress dates from the 1970's going by the large, pointed collar and that style of floral print.

Hi,

I agree with 1970's also. The fabric (the weave, not the print) is similar to a 1972 dress I have...the fabric on mine is a lightweight double knit polyester made to simulate organdy/organza.

Reminds me of my mom when she got dressed up for a party!
