Here is a o ring halter just wanted to pop it up here and see if anyone would agree with me that this would fall in the y2k era??

Material is stretchy and soft

Spandex cotton mix (most likely) no tags all

Ring is plastic

Hi its about 17 inches from the fabric around bottom the ring to bottom of the shirt

And really short I gather from that measurement. I assume there's no chance it was shortened. I think you're right about it being Y2K, 70s retro-inspired. I'm surprised there's not even a hint of a label.

Yes i agree. Its tiny but stretches alot . I can probably pull it down a few inches on the mannequin and it will stay but on a person it may roll. I do not think it was shortened. All the stitching seems to be original

Also yes strangely enough not a remnant of tag at all i searched all over the inside. The plastic ring seems so worn to me like an old cheap pair of plastic sunglasses. I cant even find holes where it may have been sewn in. Ah oh well still cute thank you

I see Y2K too. I just had a house call at the home of a woman who worked in the mall in the early 2000s and there was a lot of stuff like this - including some stretchy shirts that are TINY (like 6" x 6") but with lots of stretch.
