Hey guys I'm new here and found this batelite ring at a junk store last week just curious if it holds any kind of value behind it ? I know bakelite is very old so I picked it up when I seen it , this ring is super clean no marring and cracks or anywhere is a picture of it

it doesn't look like bakelite to me, just plastic.
however, if you feel that it might truly be bakelite, there are tests you can do to check it. here's a list, i would think 3, 4 and/or 5 would be most helpful to you.

I agree with Mary - my first impression is Not Bakelite. The plastic doesn't reflect the light in the way I would expect for bakelite, and there's no patina - exposed surfaces of bakelite will be darker than more protected areas. Also, the owl face appears molded - bakelite was carved from the basic molded shapes.
