I have this lovely rayon slip I hope to list soon. This is the older satin with a lovely drape. Is anyone familiar with this label? Would it be 40's or 50's?

Arent these just the yummiest?
I do not know a think about the actual labels but I do know the satin you speak of that Barbizon had there for awhile. Usually bias cut at the waist and hips and feels so delish on the skin!
Alot of help arent I?
We have lingerie experts, I am sure they will be along!

Beautiful! With the bias cut and the rayon satin, I am going to say 40s.

That says jaunty nite, doesn't it?

Yes, be sure to put Barbizon in the title.... True collectors should love this; Barbizon name was "hot" in lingerie! That is beautiful, and yes, I agree it's probably 40's. Also, I've had Barbizon slips that are so nice I've put in my listings that they could be worn under a jacket like a camisole. I'd wear yours with an evening suit, peeking out of a dressy jacket (as long as I wasn't going to take off the jacket....). Too nice to hide!

Thanks for confirming what I thought. I love the way this fabric feels. I wish you could still buy slips made with this silky feeling fabric.

And, I guess I should have copied the label just as it is written, (wish I could get a better image from my camera). The label reads Jaunty Rite. Hard to confuse a capital R with a capital N (small case r / n could be confusing depending on the script. Now if this were a nightgown instead of a slip, then yes, I suspect it should be a jaunty nite - lol.

Thaks again all.
