Hi!!
I'm sorry if I'm bringing up an old topic! Honestly; I browsed pages and pages of the Q & A chat and didn't see anything on barkcloth. (...However I have to tell you I did learn an amazing amount of info from you ladies/gents...spent the entire day browsing in fact! ) Anyway I have two Dresses with made in Hawaii tags. (...info on the company/labels are scarce) I'm trying to identify when they were made but the BIG question is whether or not they are made of barkcloth?

The close-up of the blue dress fabric won't down-load?!? Anyway both dresses are really really soft! They almost look/feel furry until you look up close. (hope that makes sense! lol) I wanted to add some of those funny faces I see beside this window but I can't figure out how!

I hope I'm doing this right! (replying that is...) The label on the pink dress is embroidered and just says MADE IN HAWAII...all in caps. The blue dress is embroidered and says Beautiful Hawaii wear Inc.

Even so, with the halter necks and the fitted waist, they will be good sellers, I think. Very pretty.

Does barkcloth feel soft is is it textured and stiff?

It's textured with slubs and more stiff than soft.

What do you think?...should I just leave out the fabric content in the listing?

I really am dyin' to touch some barkcloth. (sensory girl) Does anyone else pick there clothes by touch before looking at the size or price? *smile*

Those are very pretty! So fem!
Your closeups show the cloth so well, I think they would help your buyers get an idea of the cloth. This sort of cloth is like a mock barkcloth if it's not the real thing.
Halter, pretty print, sure sellers!

Those are older labels! I think"floral" in the title is getting hits, along with halter. I don't know if Hawaaian (sp) is now or not. Anybody know?

You could say it looks like barkcloth but is softer. My daughter has to touch and smell the clothes before she buys them. It is a sensory thing, I guess.

These should bring big $$$
