Can you help with a date on these? The soles are rubber, as is a little support piece on the heel back. Thanks!

I know where you got those....

I had that auction bookmarked and forgot to bid! I was going to bid on the lot for the shoes as well. There is a very similar pair in my upcoming book that came with their original box that had a patent date of 1929 on them. I suspect these are by the same company but date a little later. They are probably late 1940s because of their wedge sole and round toe although they might date earlier. I am sure they don't date after the mid 1950s as by that time thong sandals would be preferred.
 
Thanks Jonathan. There is a maker's mark on the insoles and I'll look to see what it is. And thanks for the dating tips. It all makes total sense once you point it out!

Yes, the soles look very much like thise found on 40s/50s sneakers. Here's the mark:
