POSTED THIS 1940,S DRESS LAST YEAR (2010)...........STILL LOOKING TO SEE IF THIS STYLE IS FROM THE 40,S????
HAS BEADED DESIGN ON TOPLEFT SHOLDER, SMALL SHOLDER PADS, SIDE ZIPPER ON LEFT, THREE TIERS OF FABRIC WHICH BECOME THREE TIED DRAPES ON RIGHT SIDE. BLUE / PURPLE COLOR; FADED IN SPOTS, NO SIGNS OF NAME TAGS. LOOKING TO CONFIRM AGE (1940,S),...MAKER.....HOME MADE......BOUGHT IN PA SEVERAL YEARS BACK

Yes 40s and gorgeous! Too bad about the color damage.

It's definitely 40s. I doubt this was home made it looks like a manufactured dress, have you checked along the interior seams on the sides, there may be an old union label there.

Shame about the fading, it's really a lovely example.
