Beaded dress - glass beads or jet?

Hello again! I apologize for utilizing your help so much in the past few weeks. I have run across some items that are either older than I usually find or items that I have not seen before. I truly appreciate all of your help.

This dress was laying on a chair in an antique mall that I was browsing. I was just passing the time until I could pick my son up from the airport since his flight was delayed. I immediately saw that the price and the quality were far apart, so I bought it. Now that I have it home I am wondering if the beading is glass or jet. I have read that jet will not feel cool to the touch. These beads do feel cool when touched. I also wanted to confirm that this is chantilly lace with beading that is hand sewn.

Thank you!

The term 'jet beading' is a bit of a misnomer because its almost always glass when found as embroidery on clothing - a simple round or facetted seed bead is easier and cheaper to make from glass. The best way to tell is if it is jet or glass is by touch, glass is cold to the touch, jet is warm.
