I Found a really pretty dark pink floral peasant full circle skirt. I love it!

No tags but print on fabric stating its fabric and rn number...i have never seen this before its why i think its homesewn

Cotton poly blend

The waist band is probably an inch and a half with some kind of stretchy band inside of it. Its not just sewn in elastic stitching.

No lining
Pinked seams
I am guessing with its RN number early 60s? Also am i naming this garment correctly? Peasant circle skirt?

What you are your opinions? Its a bit larger I wish it fit me :*(
Thank you!!!

i had a dress made of similar fabric, was in the early 70s. your skirt does look home sewn. peasant skirt is a good descriptor, scarf hem. elasticized waistband. sometimes a squared/rectangular print like that is called a scarf print, too. i've also seen rose prints with little bordered rose accents like this referred to as French country print. Let's see what others have to say for you and your pretty skirt. :)

So the more i research 1970s hankercheif hems the more i think this skirt isnt a true hankercheif hem. It doesnt look like the typical cut of one. Some hankercheif hems were all different lengths or 1 long peice sewn next to other peice vertically. This skirt looks very different from a hankercheif skirt from the 70s construction wise.
There are two seperate peices of the skirt that had to be sewn together.so one large tier and a 2nd small tier There are 2 layers of fabric on the 2nd tier. 1 white just plain tier not pointy shape then on top of this tier is the floral pattern cut into all the same length triangles going around the skirt. But of course i dont really know much. Is anything with a trianlge hem called a hankercheif hem regardless? This skirt seems like a mash up of a 1960s circle skirt and a hankercheif skirt . Which is very weird. Also does this seem like it could be a Mexican style circle skirt? have had no luck finding similar patterns out on the internet or construction of the bottom half. Still just as confused.

I guess as long as it can be classified as a circle skirt. Im at peace lol

Thank you.

Yes those panels def indicate some kind of soft furnishing fabric. It looks like they took good care with the placement of them. And totally agree on any hem :) it's gorgeous! I do remember Hermes making some similar style panels skirts in the 2010's but it's obviously not Hermes (they always include a signature and usually silk for skirts like this) and does look home sewn.
