Bergdorf Goodman Black Dress - Date Help

Hi All,

A little stumped here just because style looks so contemporary to me - perhaps it is!

Back metal zipper
Mother of pearl look buttons at back neck and bottom
Bergdorf Goodman label (pic attached) - lots of similar in resource but I didnt see this color, etc. Maybe I missed...

Manni and my bad pics really not helping this dress (it is really quite beautfiul in its simplicity) at all but hoping good enough for you to get an idea.

It looks very late 50s, 1958 - 1960 to me. Very Handsome dress.

yeah, I see early 60s honestly, is there a union lable in it? check really good and in the sides

I really was expecting to find a union label but no luck - nothing else on dress at all. I searched high and low!

I agree with Hollis. late 50's, possible early, early 60's but looks kinda long for that. What is the length?

What a nice, elegant dress! Is this ankle length? Hard to tell on the dress form, but if it is, I'm seeing early 60s here (like '60 to '62). Love the MOP button detail.

I do think it is meant to be longer and ankle length might be abt right. Am going to see if I can lure my neighbor over with the promise of homemade pumpkin bread to try on. Perhaps I can tell more then. Pumpkin bread will have to be after dress! ;)
